“Dave's Test Pilot has taken off!”

So, here we are. I have uploaded my first webcomic. Hooray? Yeah. Hooray!

In all seriousness, I'm excited to see what happens with this. I don't expect really anything in these first few days, but by the end of the week I should be uploading the second strip and I hope to see some ratings and comments to help imrpove the series further. All criticism is welcomed, so long as you're not being an ass about it. There will be pretty much no upload schedule, but I will be giving updates via this little blog-thing. Anyways, now go read the comic if you haven't yet!

welcome to comic fury.

it's always nice to check out a new comic that appears on the board, and see what a new artist has to offer. no one wants to discourage a novice from trying new things and developing his skills.

there are many "stick figure" comics on comic fury and other sites on the web with varying degrees of quality and humor. one shouldn't judge a comic on one page so, we'll see how this one goes.

what software did you use to make this, by the way?

Thank you for the comment! The program used to make this is one called Fire Alpaca. It's pretty good for people like me who can't afford subscriptions and need something free. However, it can be a pain to draw with using just a mouse. Also, I do have other webcomic ideas that won't be stick figure based, so if those get off the ground, look out for them.

i've not heard of Fire Alpaca. have you looked into programs like Manga Studio, Clip Studio Paint, Artweaver, and others?

and you definitely need to get a graphic tablet and pen, those will make it much easier to draw than using a mouse. Huion has one for $30.

I will definitely look into those programs, thank you for the suggestions. The only problem is, like I said, I don't have a lot of money, so it'll be a while before I get any of that stuff.

But yeah, thanks for the program suggestions. I appreciate the feedback.

I see you have another page up. coming along, coming along. any movement on those other art programs and tablets?

and I think you may need to rework your comments section so that comments can appear under the pages people are commenting on, and not just piling up in one place.

Still working on the tablets. For now we must deal with poorly drawn stick figures.

Also thank you for the comments suggestion, I shall take a look at that and fix it next chance I get.

Looking at the comments section, I don't see what you mean. All of these messages and replies have been on that first blog post, not on any web comic.
